BEHOLD! Our mighty team of coaches.

The AHFC strives to bring you the best coaching imaginable, and we understand that for a sport as difficult as fencing, connecting the right coach to the student is critical for their development. All of our coaches are accredited with the Australian Fencing Federation, are either left or right handed, good for indoor or outdoor use, and can make a mean cheese toastie.

Head Coach (Foil/Epée)

Dov is an Oceania accredited Foil & Epée coach. Author, beekeeper, postie bike afficionado, what he brings to the piste is unique.

Darcy Cowling
Foil

Darcy is our most vibrantly foily foilist. In direct competition with Fede for 'best hair', he will footwork your face off.

Federico Müller
Foil

Federico, direct from South America to you; friendly & fantastic with a foil, he can fléche in three different languages.

Leighlan Doe
Foil/Epée

International man of mystery, Leighlan epées with an epée and can grow a beard in two hours.

A club stands on the shoulders of its committee.

The AHFC team works tirelessly through the night: spinning chaff into gold; rolling giant boulders uphill; answering unfathomable riddles; and herding kittens.

Yet no pity should be awarded to these weary souls of administration—they are here because they choose to be, because they heed the call of the sword. They quietly keep the wheels turning here because they love fencing.
