Congratulations to Aldgate Primary to be the first school to sign up a team for the School's Guard program.
Seen here; students of Aldgate Primary school learning the intricacies of footwork with coach Erwin Lam.
This initiative by the AHFC to start a junior epee league in Adelaide Hills area schools started this term, and will involve two terms of training before the inter-schools team fencing league in term four.
Participants get their own personally fitted uniform and weekly training to defend their schools honour in the league!

Schools wishing to participate should contact

    Hurrah! Welcome to the future!

While we remain disappointed at the volume of flying cars on the market, thankfully we survived a social apocalypse and coffee supplies are still abundant.

The AHFC welcomes all returning and new club members to the year of fencing in 2021.
    Let's get stabby.

Adelaide Hills Fencing Club and Adelaide Swords Club have combined to waive casual visit fees between our clubs for the remainder of 2020 to help the fencing community make up for lost fencing time. We also extend the invite to members* of all other fencing clubs in Adelaide.
Bring your own kit, we can share our time and space but not the Covids.

Proudly, we can announce that the two teams the AHFC put forth for the Golden Frog tournament won all of their rounds, thus obtaining the inaugural non-perpetual chocolate golden frog prize. Yum!

Well done to Aidan, Ashton, Dov, Erwin, Matteo, and Ranger for your winning efforts.

So here is a fun bit of fun!
Our fine friends at Adelaide Swords Club have a random friday to do something with, and have decided to muck about with a fun social teams event!

On thursday night, the AHFC drew names from a mask for a team and the lucky players are:
    Henry, Aidan, Demelza, & Dov.

Non-players are still welcome to attend, cheer, and imbibe after the stabbery.

Hi all, the AHFC will return to training THIS COMING THURSDAY!
You have all been so patient, and because of that we are starting the term early - that's right, 13 weeks for the price of 10!
We have secured the fabulous venue of the St Francis de Sales Gym, 8 Dutton Rd, Mount Barker, SA.

Please note: Start time is now 18:30 on Thursday

ALL regular AHFC Thursday & Saturday classes are happening as long as you:

    • Have all your own gear.
    • Borrow gear from the club for the duration of the term.
NOTE: The borrowing of gear can ONLY be done this Sunday 28th June, at the regular venue, Bridgewater Primary School Gym.
    • Have up-to-date membership with the club.
      This includes Associate Members

We thank you all for your continued support of the club and the great sport of Fencing!

The AHFC have secured an interim venue and we'll be resuming training at the start of term three.
The venue is the St Francis de Sales college gym, 3 Dutton rd, Mt Barker.
    Navigate here:

Training will recommence on Thursday 23rd July, and will comprise our usual sessions of Intermediate Juniors followed by Seniors on Thursdays; and A, B, and C group Juniors on Saturday.
Please note: Thursday times are slightly different - Junior start at 18:30, Senior start at 20:00.

The current plan is to return to Bridgewater in term four.

As you may be aware, COVID-19 restrictions are still in effect, but with the recent announcement of June 12th with restrictions easing in stages on both the 19th and 29th it will be (mostly) back to training as usual.
Social distancing and general hygiene measures still apply.

To limit the use of shared equipment, we will have a fitting/borrow session at some stage in the 2 weeks prior to restarting - for any member who requires additional uniform equipment. Date for this TBA.
